The mission of the Women's Resource Center (WRC) is to create a safe space where LBT women and their allies will have access to important resources and referrals regarding health care, social services, and community activities.
The WRC is a place for younger women, older women, women with kids and women with cancer, women of color and women of faith to strengthen and enhance their quality of life.
Each month, more than 150 women access support and resources through the WRC. The WRC offers a diverse array of educational and social programs, from our Sapphic Cinema and Women’s Book Club, to cooking and dance classes and our great Red Hot evenings and Coffee and Conversation with Cool Women series. The WRC’s Women’s Lecture Series brings together some of the best academics from various fields of women’s studies, and the WRC also administers the Toni Atkins Lesbian Health Fund. The Women’s Coming Out group continues to be life-saving and life-changing, providing support to women of all ages.
All events and groups take place at The Center unless otherwise noted. For more information on the Women's Resource Center or to volunteer, please contact Abby Schwartz at 619.692.2077 x212 or email aschwartz@thecentersd.org.
