Families @ The Center

Here at the Center we believe family is whomever you define as family - your family of choice. That family of choice includes anyone you feel has cared about, supported, mentored or nurtured your development. Members of a family of choice can be blood related, non-blood related, or both, so our family programs are designed to include all LGBTQ family configurations – that means parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and other extended family members of LGBTQ children and youth. It also means the LGBTQ parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, siblings and other extended family members of all children and youth, AND all the family members of choice who provide you, your child/youth/young adult with community and support. We know that families thrive and grow through the inclusion of many different members and all are welcome to take part in our program.

Family services include:

  • Information and referrals regarding schools, healthcare, housing and voting
  • Educational and skill-building opportunities
  • Social and recreational opportunities and services
