HIV and STD Testing Sites

No appointment necessary

  • HIV testing is done anonymously at The Center – medical staff will not know your name. You will be known by a number given to you. HIV testing is free.
  • Many other clinics, including the County of San Diego's four STD clinics, offer confidential HIV testing, as well as STD testing – you use your name, but your identity is protected by law.

The Center offers HIV testing only. Walk ins are welcome. Arrive at 9 am and receive an appointment for the same day.

The clinics listed below are walk-in clinics and register as many people as each clinic can accomodate. Please register for your visit as early in the day as possible, as clinics close when capacity is met.

The County of San Diego has four STD clinics throughout the county where confidential HIV and STD testing are offered. Visit for more information. There is a $15 charge for STD and HIV testing, which includes all appropriate testing, any neccessary treatments, vaccination and any follow-up visit within 30 days. This charge may be waived if you are unable to pay.
