Every September over 8,000 individuals, teams, social clubs, local businesses, schools and universities, faith organizations will come together for AIDS Walk & Run to remember those who have been lost to the disease and raise funds to support the more than 20,000 San Diegans living with HIV/AIDS. Please join us for San Diego’s largest one-day HIV/AIDS fundraising event and be part of this incredible experience.

Today we know our best weapons to fight back against HIV/AIDS and prevent its spread are to get tested regularly, know your status and stay connected to medical care and medication. AIDS Walk & Run began by raising funds to help San Diegans fight and continues that mission 26 years later!

“This milestone symbolizes our longtime commitment to fighting this disease and supporting those impacted by it. AIDS Walk & Run has survived due to the incredible dedication and generosity of countless numbers of volunteers, walkers, donors and staff and board members – many of whom have been people living with HIV – who have made it happen for 25 years.”

- Dr. Delores A. Jacobs, chief executive officer of The San Diego LGBT Community Center
