is producing The Children's Garden @ Pride this year!
We very so excited to produce this event in partnership with San Diego Pride! We have many fun things planned for you and your kids for a full weekend of fun in the Children's Garden at the Pride Festival. This year we will have activities for Toddlers to Teens to keep them busy and entertained all day, including carnival games, music and dance performances, magicians, clowns, crafts and more!
It is so much fun to volunteer in the Children's Garden & watch all of the kids play!
PLEASE sign-up to Volunteer in The Children's Garden at Pride by July 7th and register for a quick Mandatory Children's Garden Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, July 7th at 10:00 am at The Center - Includes FREE breakfast & childcare! 3909 Centre Street & University Ave. EVEN IF YOU HAVE VOLUNTEERED IN THE PAST for the Children's Garden YOU HAVE TO ATTEND THIS QUICK MANDATORY ORIENTATION on Saturday, July 7th !!!!

Padres to Recognize LGBT Community in Pride Kick Off Event
San Diego LGBT Pride will Partner with the San Diego Padres to present a game event that gives recognition to the LGBT community, volunteers of Pride, as well as the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, which will sing the national anthem at the summer game.
"Out at the Park with the Padres" begins at 5:05 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at PETCO Park , where the Padres will take on the Atlanta Braves. Discounted tickets have been made available to the LGBT community on Pride’s web site: www.SanDiegoPride.org, and by entering the code word "Pride."
"This is a great opportunity to celebrate Pride while enjoying a fun night of baseball in the heart of downtown San Diego," said Ron deHarte, executive director of San Diego LGBT Pride.
The Gay Men’s Chorus, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in April, has performed regularly at Pride concerts and events. "We are particularly honored to be singing the National Anthem at Petco Park this year," said the chorus’ artistic director Gary Holt. "In addition to honoring the community, we will dedicate the performance to those chorus members currently serving in the military and to all members of the armed forces."

March with The Center & Family Matters in the Pride Parade on Saturday, July 21st!
The Theme for this year's float is "There's No Place Like Home." Dress the kids up like "munchkins" from The Wizard of Oz if you want to.
More information to follow - just save the date and come out and March and then play all day in the Children's Garden at the Pride Festival! Note NEW DATE for the Pride Parade this Year – Sat., JULY 21st!
Family Matters Offers NEW Play Group for Babies
Family Matters offers a Friday morning play group for parents/caregivers with babies ages 0-24 months. The group takes place every Friday from 9:30-11am at The Center, 3909 Centre St. The group is led by Marc Matys and Dr. Heather Berberet, and no RSVP is required.
